After introducing you to Erin Barr last week (Meeting Erin Barr), here are the pictures of her fourth collection down the catwalk this Thursday at the Pier 59 Studios. This collection was inspired by her time spent at her family’s cabin in Northern Wisconsin, the landscapes and natural energy of the “Northwoods”. The general look turns out to be very urban and chic at the same time, with lots of black.
The concept of a return to nature is very evident in the choice of the colors and the textures such as mints, tonal values of green like forest, sage, mosses, verdigris and pine up against twilight blue and neutrals. The shapes are very strong and masculine but they sort of become gentler thanks to the lightness of the fabrics.
For the skirts it’s all about sharp lines and asymmetry with sheer optical-illusion layers to highlight the elegance of the female body. For more info about Erin and her collection go to ErinBarr.com.
